Must-Have Skills to Run Online Business: The most popular community post of this week is a poll by Mohammed Ishan Akram regarding the must-have skills a person should learn to run a business in this Digital World.

🌐 Online Business World Updates

Let's discover what's happening around the world of online business that resonates with online entrepreneurs like you and me.

📈 Business Development

Rapid Rise of Usage-Based Pricing: Usage-based pricing also known as consumption-based pricing, connects how much a customer pays with how much they consume a given product or service.

A large number of people are now adopting UBP, and a majority of the holdouts expect to either launch or test UBP in the near future.

A survey happened which includes data from nearly 600 participants, 45% of SaaS companies used a usage-based pricing model in 2021, this figure is up significantly compared to 34% in 2020 and 30% in 2019.

And it's expected that this number will grow more. Companies that are not using a UBP model say they are planning to introduce it very soon.

This means UBP will become the norm, not the exception, by 2022.

🎨 Creative

Web Design Mistakes Psychology: The most common and best practice for modern web design is to use vibrant colors and gradients that help you to make your site more noticeable and appealing.

And you should also use more whitespace to make your site more attractive and easier for your users.

If your site has multiple calls-to-action, then you should create separate pages for them as it will help you to not lose your user's attention and get rid of the choice overload.

🧮 Digital Brands

Why Companies Change Their Names: Many companies start out as speculative experiments or passion projects when a viable, well-vetted name isn't high on the priority list. In many cases, it is also seen that a company become so big that its name doesn't match with its work for example you know that Facebook changed its name to Meta because of this reason.

⚠️ Security Updates

WordPress Security Updates: If you want to keep your site safe from hackers, you’ll need to know the list of popular WordPress plugins that have been vulnerable to various security issues and update them immediately.

  • All In One SEO Vulnerability: Authenticated SQL Injection
  • Smash Balloon Social Post Feed Vulnerability: Authenticated Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS)
  • Crisp Live Chat Vulnerability: CSRF to Stored Cross-Site Scripting
  • WOOCS Vulnerability: Reflected Cross-Site Scripting
  • WP Booking System – Booking Calendar Vulnerability: Authenticated Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS)
  • The Plus Addons for Elementor Pro Plugin: The Plus Addons for Elementor – Pro Vulnerability: Sensitive Data Disclosure
